On U.S. Highway 34 just west of Loveland, Colorado there is a jagged ridge of sandstone rocks that is named The Devil's Backbone. Much of the area is now The Devil's Backbone Open Space, a park administered by the city of Loveland with several nice trails for hiking or biking. These photographs were taken in March 2005 late in the day.
